We campaigned Aust & NZ CH Maghera Casanova in 1986/87 and his first litter was to Ch Evening Sky Of Clan-Abby. Ralph stood out with his sires outgoing temperament and wonderful personality. Ralph's show career started with Baby In Show, a Best In Group and Puppy In Show all breeds at only 9 months and then Puppy Of Breed at the 1987 National Dog Show. (His sire was Best Of Breed). He took Res Best In Show at the Dominion Collie Club Ch Show as a puppy. The National Dog Shows were Ralph's forte, winning Best Of Breed in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991. To date the only border collie to win four NZ National Challenge Certificates or Best Of Breed awards. In 1988 and 1990 he took Res Best In Group and in 1991 he took Best In Group. Ralph gained multi Best In Show all breeds and specialty in New Zealand and sired some wonderful progeny including NZ CH Hiland Haze Of Clan-Abby, NZ Ch Celduin Tartan Clansman (Best In Show - Auckland Collie Club judge Mrs A Caddy Minimbah Kennels, NSW), NZ CH Clan-Abby Fantasy-Of-Love (Bitch Challenge - 1990 NZ National Dog Show), NZ,AMER & STH AFR CH Clan-Abby Too-Much-Tartan, AUST & NZ CH Lochiel-Love At Clan-Abby and AUST & NZ GR CH Clan-Abby Phantom-Of-Love. Whilst in Australia being campaigned to his title by John and Joyce Sulivan of Kennoway Kennels, he sired a litter with them producing AUST CH Kennoway Kiwi Connection (Puppy In Show 1990 Melbourne Royal Show and multi Best In Show winner). Ralph was mated to "Francesca" prior to her exportation to the UK. From this litter ENG SHOW CH Wizaland Newz Edition and ENG SHOW CH Wizaland Newz Speculation at Mobella were born. In 1995, following the tragic death of his grand-son NZ, STH AFR & ZIM CH Clan-Abby The-Highlander , Ralph ventured to South Africa to fill a gap for our friends Nico and Hesta Vermeulen. Ralph gained his championship titles in South Africa and Zimbabwe including a Best In Show all breeds and multi group awards, FCI challenges in Europe and South Africa. Ralph is the grand-sire of AUST GR CH Kennoway Wots Up Yor Kilt, AUST GR CH Jesticma Incorruptible plus many more champions in NZ, Australia, the UK, USA and "Clan-Abby" champions throughout the world.
