One of the three 'star' males from this litter which included Aberdeenboy of Clan-Abby and Lochlinnhe from Clan-Abby, Ruff certainly made his mark as a wonderful show dog and a stud dog as well. Owned and campaigned in the South Island by Helen Jarvis of Broadfield Kennels, Ruff became a multi Best In Show winner and was a dog who turned many heads. Ruff was Dog Challenge and Best Of Breed at the 1984 NZ National Dog Show and Dominion Collie Club Dog of the Year 1984. He is the grand-sire of AUST & NZ CH Lochiel-Love At Clan-Abby, AUST & NZ GRAND CH Clan-Abby Phantom-Of-Love, AUST & NZ CH Rosshire Brigadoone, AUST CH Lochinbrae Of Clan-Abby, NZ & ENG SHOW CH Francesca Of Clan-Abby to name a few.
