Loretta was another successful off-spring from Maghera Casanova - and as a baby went to live with Ray and Margaret Prescott, who were successful breeders and exhibitors of Rough Collies at the time. Loretta gained her NZ Championship title with Ray and Margaret collecting a Puppy In Show All Breeds CH Show along the way. When Loretta was three years of age she returned to us and we sent her to our good friends Margaret and Doug Collier in the UK - who had always loved Loretta's dam, Lorna's Love (Polly). Margaret and Doug had been so supportive of our dogs and we wanted to repay them so were able to send Loretta over in whelp to NZ CH Aberdeenboy Of Clan-Abby. From this litter ENG SH CH Borderbreeze Barn Owl At Eyot was born, who became the first border collie to win an all breed in-show award at a CH show in the UK. Interesting was that Barn Owl's grand-sire Thunderboy Of Clan-Abby was NZ's first all breed in-show winner at a CH show in this country. Loretta gained her ENG SH Champion title and produced a further litter in the UK to Aberdeenboy's son, Blue Aberdoone. This very successful litter produced, AM CH Borderbreeze Barnstormer At Darkwind - foundation stud dog for Mark and Robyn Powley's Darkwind Kennels in the USA; and Rolf Francks, GERM& EUROPEAN CH Borderbreeze Lion Heart...... world winner ....
