A litter mate of Clan-Abby Lorna's Love, Kilt was sold as a puppy to Mrs Judy Harker of Auckland who trained him in obedience prior to his return to Clan-Abby. When Kilt returned to us he quickly gained his NZ Championship Title with many group wins to his credit including Best in Group. He was the Dominion Collie Club Dog of the Year in 1986. It was early in 1986 that Mrs Orvokki Moilanen visited our kennels with the interest of importing a breeding pair to introduce the breed to Finland. Since our exportation at the time had only included Australia, we decided a top dog in Finland would not only help the breed in Scandinavia but would give our kennel international recognition. His initial obedience training proved to be valuable to Mrs Moilanen. Kilt became the first Finnish Champion of the breed, competing in both conformation and obedience. He also produced many champions for Mrs Moilanen's Starlet Kennels. He obtained titles at FCI and International Shows he attended in Finland and has done our kennel proud.
